Wow, can you believe it’s 2024?! I always get excited around this time of year. Personally, the new year is a great opportunity to set goals and plan what you want to achieve in the next year. I love that we’re given a timeline (1 year) to meet the goal. Then, years to come we can look back and see what God helped us accomplish year-by-year.
Two things I want us to think about this New Year:
1. WHAT’S THE FOCUS?
A month or so ago we talked about the 8 F’s that make up every area of our lives (Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness, Finances, Fun, Future, Field (Job)).
In 2024, I want you to pick ONE topic that you really want to focus on this year.
Maybe you desire to grow closer to God this year (FAITH)?
Be more intentional with your spouse (FAMILY)?
Find godly friends that help strengthen your Christian life (FRIENDS)?
Set a savings goal and steward your finances better (FINANCES)?
Make a habit to workout consistently throughout the week (FITNESS)?
Spend the first two weeks of January sitting, praying, and thinking about which category you want to see a mighty change in by the end of 2024.
2. WHAT’S YOUR GOD-GIVEN, PROPHETIC WORD?
Asking God for a word to represent the year is a great way to experience His amazing power and receive a promise He wants to bless you with in 2024.
A prophetic word is a word, phrase, or statement told before it comes to pass in the future. God naturally speaks through prophecy as He did so for Jesus with the prophets and through John and Paul about the end times.
Spend the month of January praying to God about what our word should be for 2024.
I also want to invite you to purchase Leaning In 2024 Planner & Devotional as it helps you learn how to pray for a word for 2024 and walks with you on how to successfully overcome strongholds and walk in victory as you grow closer to Christ this year.
Let’s let 2024 be the year your life changes for God’s glory!
